JIM PATTERSON
Director
Jim Patterson’s work has focused on laboratory medicine for the past forty-five years. After receiving his Master's degree in biochemistry from Michigan State University, he worked in research, development and medical sales, with an additional thirty years in medical recruiting and consulting with both large and small diagnostic companies. Jim's interest in medical intuition flourished when he attended a course in medical intuition led by C. Norman Shealy, M.D., Ph.D., and Carolyn Myss in the 1990s. His attendance was an attempt to identify the cause of chronic gastrointestinal pain and anemia that had plagued him for over three decades. Years of visits to various qualified and compassionate clinicians had not revealed a diagnosis; thus, there was no helpful treatment plan. A referral from this course led him to a skilled medical intuitive who correctly identified his malady as Crohn's disease, which was later verified by pathology. The net result was effective traditional medical treatment and more effective managing inflammatory psychological habits of anger, fear, self-doubt, etc. This led to the remission of his lifelong ailment of Crohn's. Today, Jim continues his work by helping healthcare professionals in their careers while also writing about managing mental trauma and dysfunctional thinking that aggravates the physical body and leads to psychological distress.
